Nairobi National Park Game Drive

Nairobi National Park Kenya’s first-ever National Park and the only Park in the world near a city Centre is a unique and unspoiled wildlife haven within sight of the city’s skyline. Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains’ country with a section of highland forest as well as stretches of broken bush country, deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass. The Park also hosts over 300 bird species which include the Secretary bird, crowned cranes, vultures, peckers and many more.

The Giraffe Center is a wonderful and refreshing experience. The tour gives a completely up close and personal interaction where guests have the opportunity to view giraffes as well as feed them. There is also an impressive variety of bird species which can be viewed throughout the year.

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s Orphans Project, located in a secluded area of the Nairobi National Park, where orphaned baby elephants, rhinos amongst other animals are taken care of by a dedicated team of conservationists. At 1100 Hours, the baby animals are brought from the National Park for a mud-bath at the orphanage, where for an hour you can get close to them and sometimes touch them. You may not feed the animals but will get a chance to view the handlers feeding them.

PLEASE NOTE: The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is world-renowned for its work in rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned baby elephants. The Nursery, located in Nairobi National Park, is where an orphan’s journey begins. Although the Nursery is open to the public every day from 11am to 12 noon, the number of visitors is limited to a maximum of 200. If you wish to include the 11 am public visit in your Nairobi tour, please contact us directly so that we can check availability and add this to your trip.

Bomas of Kenya Cultural Day Tour Nairobi visits the Bomas of Kenya which offers you “Kenya at a glance”. It lets you see the wonderful diversity of cultures that make up Kenya. The term Bomas, meaning “homestead”, is displayed on your tour; each represents one of Kenya’s major ethnic groups and is built according to the original traditional architecture of an African home. Here you will experience the rich culture of Kenya’s 42 ethnic groups.

This is clearly demonstrated through traditional dances, music, songs and folklore. There is also a splendid arena where acrobatic shows are performed.

Kobe Tough here we can view the women artisans at work and maybe buy ourselves local gifts in support of the self – help local women’s project.
